Strong School Climate: Data Shows Westford School Community Feels Connected and Supported

Understanding the experiences of our students is essential to maintaining a positive and supportive school environment. In 2012, the school used the National School Climate Center's Comprehensive School Climate Inventory (CSCI) to assess key areas like safety, relationships, learning, and communication. More recently, the school has adopted the YouthTruth Survey to gain updated insights. Both surveys consistently show that Westford students feel a strong sense of belonging—reinforcing the importance of our close-knit, student-centered school community.

We’ve advanced to global competitions six times in the past decade, demonstrating our students’ ability to compete at the highest level

  • Comprehensive Curriculum

Robotics opportunities are integrated into both curricular and extracurricular programs, starting as early as 1st grade and continuing through 8th grade

  • Program Expansion

Last year, we introduced an advanced robotics program for 7th and 8th graders, incorporating metal building materials, commercial motors and controllers, 3D modeling/printing, and advanced programming—all to meet our students' growing skills and interests

A dedicated team of 12-15 local volunteers, including individuals without current students in the school, contribute 60-80 hours of hands-on STEM engagement each season

  • Barrier-Free Access

The program is 100% privately funded through grants, sponsorships, and donations, ensuring no student ever has to pay for participation, equipment, or competition fees
